Seattle hasn’t even announced him yet.

Seattle is very slow to announce signings. Look at past ones such as Montero, Montano, but the reason is probably because they want to cut lose one of these three to get cap room. Jaqua, Graham or Vegenas (who is making 117K). I have a feeling FL10 will stay and move to CM along with Alonso.

^ i dont see how its even possible for Ljungberg to stay by this point with all that has gone down, u are probably hoping he moves to CM with Alonso
Ljungberg will leave, but SSFC should also oust Vagenas and Graham tbh

and Marshall and Noonan and maybe even Jaqua.

MC Pharoah and Sounders FC,
Cutting pete, graham, marshall, noonan and Jaqua will not provide cap relief. THey are all guaranteed contracts. Plus cutting them now would be stupid especially with the CCL.

I didn’t mean cut – I meant to say trade them to some other team in desparate need of some “experience”. If you can trade them for cash or a future draft pick then it would open up the cap room

Sounders FC,
I doubt there would be anyone we can trade them too.

We can get something for Vaganas, Doubt we get rid of Jaqua. Noonan would be fine, Marshal would be interesting as he seems to have fallen out of favor with Sigi.

gstommylee – I know I may be dreaming to think that someone would take them, but I do believe that is what our management should be working on. Not sure how the new guaranteed contracts work but am hoping they are only guaranteed for the season so we can “release” these players at the end of the season if we are not able to trade them before that. Somehow, we have to open up soe cap room to be able to take advantage of the 3 dp opportunity.

My ideal situation would be to get rid of (trade, release, transfer, whatever) some of the players above (except Jaqua), get Fernandez, and use a 2nd or 3rd DP (depending on whether Fernandez is a DP) on a CAM, which is our biggest weakness in attack right now. Evans is average at best a CAM, and he’s injured anyways.

Its official Seattle has signed Alvaro Fernandez as their 3rd DP.
