Ibad Muhamadu, is probably the man expected to replace Ali Gerba at TFC. This comes in light of a press release from Holland’s Soccernews which is reporting that the Dutch striker of Ghanaian and Surinamese descent has been released by his current Dutch club FC Dordrecht and is said to be on his way to Canada.
As for Gerba, John F. Molinaro of CBC Sports is reporting that the 27 year-old Canadian striker is already working with his lawyer to negotiate his release from his guaranteed contract with TFC, as he admits that his professional career with the Toronto club is all but over following his dismissal from training camp in South Carolina earlier this week.
Toronto FC is keeping pretty tight-lipped about Gerba’s future, but the Canadian striker is saying plenty. For one thing, Gerba took issue with Johnston’s comments about his game not being ‘up to scratch.’
“They’re saying anything. At the moment, I’m in good shape. That’s [just an excuse] they found to explain my dismissal,” Gerba told CBC Sports.

Dear Ali, if you scored more than one goal, and not show up for your debut like a fat sack of hell, and showed some improvement that actually would get you off the bench, I may actually have more sympathy for you.
But I don’t because you didn’t do either one of the three things above. Cutting Gerba may not be as bad as you think, Kris.

but the problem is calgarytfc, we are getting rid of players when we have no replacements for them or a proper full roster. gerba played in the 3rd league of english football, so we go out and replace him with a guy who plays in the 3rd division of germany? what makes his scoring ability any better than gerbas? we have no strikers, we haven’t been scoring in pre season, so gerba goes home and tfc get nothing to replace him with a player that proves hes better than gerba. its time for mo johnston to go already!

True dat, Cream. Mo letting players go without any replacements. If Preki wants discipline, get rid of Garcia. But for goodness sake sign a bloody player that we know of! Ibad, sure, the first time they posted this message a month ago I thought, “Who?” and I still think it! Mo got Dero and DeGu, but its time to get another star like them to replace Amado and the rest of the dropped players.
