TV DEAL: All Philly Union games to be televised and in HD

Posted by Nate Scadlock Friday, January 29th, 2010 at 10:26 am

Between ABC6 and their digital channel 6.2 in Philadelphia it looks like every Philly Union games is going to be shown to the local fans this season. And not only will they all be televised, but they will be broadcast in HD.

You can read more of the story at Philly.com and the PU ASN.

What do you think? Does your club enjoy such a posh setup? What is your club’s TV deal? Will the Philadelphia area have enough viewers to make this a long term agreement?

  2. In Seattle we have all the games live on a local channel and then repeated twice every week on the cable sports channel.

Of course, Philly’s going to run into the same problem we do: frustration when the game’s on Fox Soccer Channel, because hardly anybody has it (especially not the casual fans).

  8. More great news for the MLS in general!

    @ los angeles:
Real place to play? I’d take a non-SSS that holds 68,000 over a new SSS that holds 18,500. Think about it… The Sounders are capping capacity at 36,500. Have you even been to Qwest?
