adidas Friday  unveiled “JABULANI,” the official match ball of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  To celebrate the ball and the World Cup draw, the adidas hosted celebrations in Washington, D.C. and Santa Monica, Calif. featuring U.S. National Team players Stuart Holden, Sacha Kljestan, Jimmy Conrad and MLS star Jaime Moreno of D.C. United.

  • U.S. National Team members Jimmy Conrad (L) and Sacha Kljestan (R) were joined by adidas North America President Patrik Nilsson(middle) today at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Calif. to unveil the official adidas World Cup Match Ball.  The new ball, named “Jabulani,” meaning “celebration” in isiZulu, features 11 different colors representing the 11 players in every team, the 11 official languages of South Africa and the 11 South African tribes.  The new ball is also the eleventh adidas World Cup Match Ball.
