An ad disguised as a post? I guess whatever it takes to get money, go for it.
Screw you Barca... useless twats!
nice ad.
and the bar is set even lower.
good ad.
Thanks for the Post you made my decision to delete you from my favorites and rely on actual reports that much easier. It was ok to put up with bad writing / elementary web design / unconfirmed reporting, however I refuse to spend my time reading blatent advertisements that are made to look like news. Thank you for your decent reports that came before you relaunched last year and I hope you get whatever money you seek to make your site as good as you suggest it is.
All these constant criticisms are getting ridiculous, if your not coming back tp this site because of an ad, that I dont know what to say. If you look at this site and evaluate it in a real way you will see how a great deal of what they report comes to be and other stories are rumors that have potential for happening.
It's not the site itself that's being criticized, Mr. Anonymous. It's the blatant ad-whoring, which I also think is shameless.
As far as the CONTENT itself is concerned, I think it's a great site. I just think they need to tone down the ad-frenzy. Disguising an ad as a post was pathetic.
Great site overall, though.
C'mon guys I was really getting into this site. What happened to your reporting from St Louis, no draft rumors or goings on from the coming draft, but we get to review an add?
ugh, I'm losing faith here guys.
Please don't do this. You have a great site, but it turns into a site where you have to sift through a lot of BS to try to find any actual information it will lose all its value and hits and cease to exist. I hope this isn't the descent onto the slippery slope of crap.
Suggestion. Why don't you cut out the half-baked rumors altogether and just go with the advertisements?
As far as a great deal of what is reported here coming true? I looked at all of the posts that have been made in the last 2 months and ZERO of them have come true EXCEPT for those that were already confirmed as happening by other sources at the time they were posted on here. Look for yourself.
well, one of their staff writers did pass away, so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
This is a takeover by Barca. First MLSR then MLS!
MIAMI TO MLS 2010!!!!!
Yeh it's all horrible cause you know, it's not like Soccer By Ives would ever put a blantant ad right in the middle of a post right?
Oh wait...HE DID!
Yes, but Ives actually has information on his site.
ZING.....lol, you can't compare Ives or GOff to this site. Those guys have direct relationships with league and US soccer heads and their full time job is to inform us about MLS and US Soccer with accurate info.
Rumors, as great a site as it is, is a side gig for the operators and they rely mostly on content provided voluntarily by tipsters and other blogs. Hell, half their content comes from the MLSenEspanol guy. This is why I also think we should cut them some slack with the ads, they're not getting paid grown up money for this stuff.
Not the same.
actually with the traffic levels that was posted a few months ago and the number of ads on this site, I would estimate this site brings in $15-$20K per month. I have a non-soccer site which brings in 25% less traffic and has fewer ads that brings in $10K.
^^^
Holy sh*t really? damn I'm in the wrong business. Well nevermind then, they deserve any and all scrutiny if they're pulling that kind of coin off of us.
