"Yeah but MLS Rumors is always wrong."
Remember way, way back on Nov. 10, with we brought you this rumor that Francisco "Panchito" Mendoza, CD Chivas USA's young Mexican midfielder would be headed south of the border to the "Mothership" CD Guadalajara? Of course old school MLSR readers know there had been rumors going back further than that, like this one from early January 2008.
Well it now almost a year later it appears a deal has been struck and it appears to be official, though neither MLS nor Chivas USA have announced it, CD Guadalajara has.

So with Mendoza gone, who should they bring in?
After three years and four seasons in MLS with Chivas USA, the midfielder Francisco Mendoza returned to the team that he started, Guadalajara.

If I am wrong, Chivas USA doesn't need to bring in anyone. We have Jorge Flores, who has shown that he has a finishing touch and has that hunger to play. Unfortunately, Preki didn't play him when he was scoring and therefore could ride the pine just for the hell of it.
No matter what, expect Panchito back in Chivas USA for the next season.

Don't paint with sucha broad brush. I'm African-American and I live in LA and support Chivas. And no its not because they have a Cuban brotha playing as forward. It's because they play good football compared to The LA Beckhams. I'm sure there are some Caucasian Americans who think the same as me.

We beg to differ on Chivas USA being "the joke of the league". They did pretty well in 07, not so well in 08 but still, not bad for one of the 04 expansion teams.
On the other hand LA Galaxy's high profile fall from grace has been somewhat of a joke but I don't think you'll find too many Galaxy or just general MLS fans laughing.

Chivas' coach Efrain Flores said today that he wants Mendoza for Clausura 2009.
And if Chivas de Guadalajara wants him, he is going to play there.
I would say 95% chance he stays in Mexico.

people dont hate mexican football. i as a whitey cracker, or marshmellow man, enjoy mexican football, it is much prettier an dmore fun to watch than our version as their is much more skill vision and creativity. that being said one less spic in the league is great.

Why do you have to implement racism and your bad experiences with the love of the game. Your comments are a true example of y many Mexican-Americans will never support the USA national team. You exclude us by insulting our heritage. Not every Mexican soccer player is a cheat, just like not every Caucasian, Central or South American,etc.
