Walter "Peri" Martinez -26 years old Honduran forward who is currently playing in China for Beijing Guoan- will be in Washington DC this week for an interview with DC United directors, according to the Honduran web site Diez.hn.

Martinez -who played in the last game between Honduras and Mexico- has said that although he makes more money playing in China, he really wants to come to MLS. The reasons: His family and being closer to Honduras (and the national team).

What do you think about this? Do you guys think DC United needs another forward?

  4. Hell yes they need more strikers. Moreno is old and Emelio was a bit disappointing this year. Maybe this guy will be able to push Luciano back into form.

  24. mos definitely. DC United is going after trophies and with multiple tournaments at stake you need depth. plus he's still young enough to grow into his potential. If he's half as good as Emilio and half as young as Moreno, then it's a gr8 deal.

  28. DC needs all they can get right now. But what they really need is someone to motivate and hold the team together. Most of last season DC looked like MLB outfielders in spring training. A lot of balls got through that shouldnt have. The best offense is a great defense.

  30. forget about this loser...Cristian Gomez is coming back to DC. The DC United organization is in HUGE turmoil. If the club does not start on a winning streak, the coach will be gone, along with the GM and posibly President, as well.
Kasper/Soehn/Payne have all dodged their last bullets in DC. This is their curtain call.

Basically, they are being SEVERLY punished for bringing in Gallardo, who has been as effective President Bush in his second term....

The reason you can post this from a computer you bought no doubt from working is because "Communist China" buys our US debt.

BTW: MLS is way more Communist than the Chinese Super League, where clubs can spend whatever they want on players and there is no single-entity share and share alike communist crap.

  34. The reason you can say what you are saying and not be sent to jail is because you are in AMERICA bozo, try saying something like that in china, they will cook you with there fried rice and eat you all week along, TWICE ON SUNDAYS
