Well Brian Balboa and our good friends at Dynamo Planet sat down with Houston Dynamo GM Oliver Luck on 1560AM's Soccer Show. Here is what transpired:
During the show, we had the chance to interview Oliver Luck. There were
quite a few things to talk about during the 15 minute interview. Two
things that stood out were:1) Nothing is set in stone yet as to who will be used in
the expansion draft yet, but he did address for the first time Nate
Jaqua expressing interest in the past playing in the Pacific Northwest
next year.2) There will be a press conference Thursday at
10AM hosted by three community groups at the proposed Dynamo stadium
site to show the City and County the fact that the community supports a
new downtown stadium just as much as the fans themselves.

While good for Houston to get their own stadium, hopefully. One cannot blame a 3-0 loss on bad bounces and a hard pitch.
The smartest anonymous poster on MLS-R ever
Missing a gaol in front of the net all alone cant be blamed on the pitch. Redbull were playing on the exact same pitch houston was playing and they didnt miss their chances.
yeah, Houston just missed a lot of opportunities to score. if they had had done a better job at finishing, that game could have gone to Overtime. That said, here's hoping that Houston gets that new stadium downtown- SSS's are the future for the league, and downtown is a great place for them to play.
So who's the Dynamo fan writing this piece?
I mean, this is far from objective.
For all the work you guys do here at MLSR to brand yourself as an actual journalistic resource, having one of your writers blame the artificial turf for a playoff loss is simply laughable.
Where were the bad bounces that lead to Richards' and Woly's goals? I don't remember seeing the ball bouncing around much when Richards had it at his feet for 60+ yards at a time.
Comon.
Fair point.
Our writers individually support their teams but when writing articles we ask that they be unbiased and strive for a neutral approach to articles. However our writers are human and sometimes their passion for their team comes across in their writing, especially after a difficult loss.
We think what the writer in question was trying to say was that the hard surface was more to New York's liking since they play on a similar hard surface at home.
