According to this article in the Seattle Examiner, the Sounders tickets will be at a TFC like premium by the time the 2009 season kicks off.
Here is an excerpt:
Professional soccer in Seattle is going completely the opposite direction of the local and especially the national economy. No one is noticing this more that Sounders FC Customer Sales Rep. Gary Boyle. Gary has gone from sharing space at Pacific Feather Company in SoDo to rubbing elbows with Seahawks staff at the swank new Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton. If the name 'Gary Boyle' sounds familiar, that's because Gary is one of the employees who has transitioned up from the USL Sounders to the Major League Soccer Sounders FC. In fact, he was one of the very first to do so. If you haven't been keeping track of Sounders FC ticket sales, here is fair warning: most, if not all of Sounders FC's matches will sell out in 2009, some even before the season starts. Of the anticipated 24,500 seats available per match, only just over 6,000 are left unsold. Time to think about combining with friends on a set of season tickets, eh?
Word to the wise to Seattlites...Beware of the scalpers, just ask your TFC friends about them. Once they sink their teeth in they are hard to erradicate. Keep them out.

Seattle has anti-scalping laws, which aren't the most effective, but at least exist.
There will also likely be a ticket exchange for when you need more/less seats than your standard purchase. I say this because both the Seahawks and Mariners have it.
There continues to be talk about the "Hawks Nest" or bleacher section on the North End and how it might be used, as it is currently not part of the configuration.
The upper bowl in continuous and so would be hard to partially open.
They ought to put the away fans in the Hawks nest. Espcially LA and Portland.
Congrats on the great news Seattle.
We need more teams with this kind of support
Like soccer city USA!
Go Portland Timbers FC!
We need another two Seattle's with expansion. Let's hope they choose the right two markets for 2011 expansion. If they get it right, this league could take off.
Floridian teams: Miami Fusion and the Tampa Bay Mutiny. This was for financial reasons.
Two teams failed! Yes for finacial resons ...which means no one went to the games!
Stick with the other expansion bids they have a fan base that will pay to go to the games!
In January 2002, the league announced the end of its two Floridian teams: Miami Fusion and the Tampa Bay Mutiny. This was for financial reasons.

Which TFC friends?
As a TFC supporter this makes me really happy.. the more demand across the league the better.. hope you guys get a good thing going Seattle!
Yea this sounds really good. I just hope it catches on. If MLS can get more teams to draw this well, it will escalate and become a much more profitable and popular league.
