La Opinion, in its today's edition, reports that there is a great possibility that Cuauhtemoc Blanco plays for America during the "Interliga 2009" that starts in January 2nd in Carson, California.
Our good friend of MLS En Espanol just posted the story and have sent us a translation of their article...
Michel Bauer, America's president said yesterday in a press conference: "Yes, of course there is a posibility to bring Cuauhtemoc for Interliga. He is an "americanista", an excelente player and a great person. Now we have to talk to him and see what his plans are, and what he could bring to the team for the Interliga"
So, what does the MLS think about this?
The MLS official spokeperson, Maria Isabel Munoz, said the league would support any negotiation between Chicago Fire and Club America, so Blanco can play the Interliga with them. They have supported both Landon Donovan and David Beckham in the past (to train and play with Bayern Munich and Milan during the MLS break, respectively), and as long as Blanco wants to play for America, they would support his decision.

What about the Chicago Fire?
Chicago Fire (and this is not official) would probably wait for Club America to officially contact them and after that, let Blanco make the decision...
What do you think? Is it a good idea for Cuauhtemoc Blanco to play with America for two months or should he just take a break and wait until MLS's next season?

loan him out! maybe the fat ass will lose some weight!
Go fire 2009
Agreed, loan hiM! Make this happen MLS!
He should go to to America .....and stay there,
Then the Fire can get a DP who can run.
Anybody here who doesn't hate Cuauhtemoc?
No......
Just kidding! He is a great player, but could add more to the team if he would train and lose weight. The game against the crew might of been different if he would have spent more time running and less time faking injuries (I hate that).
Do the Fire get a cut of the action?
