Sahr Senesie, a Sierra Leone-born striker and left wing who has nine caps for Germany’s Under-20 team, reportedly signed a summer loan agreement with the New York Red Bulls, which is now keeping him from joining a German club. So says a German press report from Friday, Nov. 21.
Eintracht Trier, a fourth division side in Germany, agreed terms with Senesie on Nov. 15 but the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB, the country’s soccer association) is not permitting the 23-year old to join the team precisely because he allegedly signed a contract of some sort with the Red Bulls. Even though Senesie did not earn any money from the time he spent with New York, and despite the fact that Major League Soccer sent the German FA a fax attesting to this, the DFB is not allowing the move to go forward, according to the report.
Eintracht Trier is coached by former Bayern Munich star Mario Basler.
