Could another Club America footballer be coming to the Chicago Fire?
We just received the following by email:
I don't know if you guys published this already...Video of Villa in action:Its about German Villa, mexican player currently playing for America . Milenio.com published, back in October 22nd, that Villa was thinking about joining Blanco and the Chicago Fire due to the lack of playing time he is experiencing with America. Blanco and Villa are "buddies", and according to the rumor, Blanco was "lobbying" for him.Today, "Esto en linea" published an article about America and the "crisis" they are going through. The article states that some players are thinking about leaving the team and Villa would be one of them. Destination? The MLS".
What would you think of Villa coming to the Fire?

The fact that typical gringos don't watch Mexican liga but drool over old-swedish has-beens is kind of depressing.
Yes, he's a bit old. But, has technical talent and a physical presence that would only be beneficial to MLS (at the right price).
Villa is about to retire. He was good at one opint but I haven't seen him lately.
I think he will end up joining the Chicago Fire because of Blancos' influence on the team and their friendship.

Villa? you got to be kidding me. The only reason he isn't playing for America is because he doesn't have the skills to play anymore.
Why would Chicago want him?
I understand the influence Blanco may have on the team, but why would they take on him?
He'll be another bust in this league.
The reason that he isnt playing in America is because they are rebuilding the team and they are trying to get rid of players that are older and that get paid more than what they think they are worth at this time and point. But other than that I think this would be a great bargain for the fire if they can get him. just remmember guys that the fire are in position to be involve in several tournaments next year. we need all the help we can get!!! FIRE TILL I DIE!!!
