REPORT: Toronto FC/BMO Field's Alcohol License Revoked?

Posted by MLSR Friday, October 10, 2008

Oh the irony....As a stadium in Mormon Utah opened last night with alchohol consumption at an all time high for RSL home games, Toronto's BMO Field has had its license to serve revoked at the next game vs Chicago.

That is if this anonymous email is to be believed:

BMO FIELD HAS HAD ITS BOOZE LICENSE SUSPENDED FOR OCT 18 GAME VS CHICAGO DUE 2 MULTIPLE INFRACTIONS OF THEIR LICENSE

If you know anything about this let us know.

  10. This will have almost no impact on the fans. Most are already feeling pretty fine by the time they show up. BMO field will be the real loser at $9 a glass.

yes that's it, we can't handle beer with a higher alcohol content then that piss Bud you pass off as beer.

  17. "BMO will be the real loser"

Man, you are a fucking idiot if you don't learn from this. This, which is a fucking slap on the wrist by the way, takes away a source of income for your club. If you don't learn from this, it will be permanent the next time. And the time after that, will be a fine to the club. You are a fucking idiot.

And yes, it "could be worsT". You could have the license suspended for the playoff matches that... oh, yes.... that's right. My bad.

  19. This is BARELY a slap on the wrist. If it even happens at all! As was mentioned earlier, the supports groups congregate at their various pubs before the game and are feeling fine by game time. As for Nathan's comment about taking away a source of income for the team... puuulleeezzz, MLSE has more money than they can count. The operating budget of TFC is equal to the what they pay one player on the Raptors or Leafs. BMO will never loose their license permanently period! the city gets which issues the license gets a percentage of the concessions. This is simply them TRYING to make it look like TFC is being punished. And don't even try to compare US beer with Canadian, Canadian beer is far better than anything in the US and plus it's got more alcohol. It is great how much people want to see TFC punished though, I love that so many despise us. It will make things that much more sweet when we finally put a winner together. Hell if C-bus can do it ANYBODY can! lol

U suck we rule, cause next year we are going to get a designated player or our coach is going to quite. That will show you, you, you...ignorant bliss United States of America guy.

  29. For the record Canadian people. No one in the US really cares about Canada. We don't spend time thinking about Canada. We do think it is cute and entertaining when you get all defensive though and we love to get you going but we still don't care.

  31. And for the record American people, we too think it's cute and entertaining watching Americans boast about their precived superiority in all things. I won't touch the side show that is the American elections or the vibrant economy down there because this an MLS board. I'm happy with the notion that the most authentic footy atmosphere in the "American" league isn't even in America! Props to Houston and DC for giving it a good effort though.

  32. Not gonna happen. They would have said by now and it certainly would have been in the papers. Obviously going to have no impact on the fans
