NEW MLS FAN RUN SITE TO LAUNCH FOR PLAYOFFS AND BEYOND

Several months ago it appeared that a great site for MLS supporters and images and issues, MLS Underground, was all but dead as it had not been updated in months. Around that time MLS Rumors which had given a lot of press to fan and supporters issues, as well as photo and video began working on a replacement and more permanent home for MLS supporters photos and video as well as general discussions and rants. It was at that time when the idea for MLS Tifo was born.

Not long after that MLS Underground appeared to spring back to life so the idea for MLS Tifo was shelved as it appeared it would no longer be needed. But MLS Underground's return would not last long and three weeks ago it met its demise, quietly fading away.

MLS Underground was a great place and it is a shame many of the great posts there are gone but such is the life of a single person blog.

In case you didn't know lifespan of many single person blogs is on average typically 6-months to a year. Often the person behind the blog, loses interest or simply no longer has the time to update it.

This new blog, MLSTifo.com like MLS Underground was, will be a gathering place for information from supporters groups about anything and everything to do with being an MLS (or even USL in some cases) supporter.

There will however be one key difference between this space and MLS Underground: YOU.

As with MLS Rumors you will make this space what it is.

So! In other words, you will be able to post articles, photos and videos there.

Therefore, if you are a member of a supporters group, then please email mlstifo@gmail.com to request an invite to participate in and post to the blog.

Once your invite has been sent to you simply confirm it and you will be able to post stories, photos and video there.

MLS Tifo also has its own group on Flikr so you can upload photos either there or post them directly to the blog.

MLS Tifo will also make use of the long established MLS and USL Supporters group on Youtube.

If you have video to share we encourage you to upload them there to embed them in your post, or you may upload video directly to the blog.

We look forward to your participation during the playoffs and beyond into next season. We have already kick started things with a special, "Best of the MLS Underground Supporters Videos" post so don't be afraid to get stuck in and add to it if your group's best pics, video or story is not mentioned. Like we said, you make it tick.
