The 28-year-old midfielder, who starred for Second Division Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the just-ended season, has secured a three-month loan deal with the Washington-based topflight side.
He is now waiting for his work permit, which he hopes will come through before the end of the week.
“Everything is going well for me. I have signed with the team for three months,” says an elated Khumalo, adding that he is confident of playing this weekend when the Tom Soehn-coached side takes on FC Dallas on Saturday.Khumalo on loan to DC United
United States based striker Thabiso Khumalo has been signed to DC United.
The Sowetan born player has secured a three month loan deal with the Washington based MLS giants after completing a season with Second Division side, Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
The 28-year-old midfielder is just waiting for a work permit which is expected to arrive before the end of the week.
"Everything is going well for me. I have signed with the team for three months," a delighted Khumalo told KickOff.
