This strange story comes to us from a reader down under:
Mark Bosnich
Age:36
Position:Goal Keeper
Previous Clubs: Aston Villa, Manchester United, Chelsea
After his short term stint with Central Coast Marniers after not playing a competitive match in 5 years, he is now looking for a club. He is the US filming a new show and may also be trialling with LA.
Really? Has it come to this Galaxy fans?
The one thing, the US does not lack are quality goal keepers, yes goal keepers age well but isn't 36 just a little over the hill? And isn't the fact that he couldn't stop goals in the Australian A-League, (a league many consider of a lower quality than MLS) just a little disturbing?
Some say he's not over the hill and for keepers there are quite a few very good ones over 30. Pat Onstad is 40 after all but still...
You be the judge.
Here's video of him in action:

if the "glamour club" of the mls has to resort to signing a 36 year old keeper with a beer belly then the mls might as well pack it in.
get rid of, or at least raise dramatically, the salary cap NOW! take the training wheels off!
Where in either of those links does it say anything about the Galaxy?
One of the links did but the story is different now.
Interestingly, one of the links says he is a reforming drug addict. That makes the LA Galaxy reference more credible (see also Abel Xavier).
That dude is FAT!!
was it his drug problem or his doughnut problem that has help him fall from grace.
He didn't play for what, 5 years....his body should have a lot more mileage left if he could get back in shape that an average 36 year old keeper.
I watched he A-League highlights show and he's pulled off some blinding saves....that Steve Cronin and Wicks can only dream of. If he thinned down a bit he could be a decent stop gap for 2 years or so.
