As many of us MLS fans were in angst over the pathetic performance of our clubs in the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League this week, perhaps it is only fitting to turn the clock back to 1998 and take a look back to an MLS team which, a decade ago, won not only the CONCACAF Champions Cup but then went on to beat the Copa Libertadores Champion, Brazil's famed,Vasco da Gama, in the final match of the final Copa Interamericana. This victory was not only the first for an MLS Club but only the third over all for a CONCACAF club in the competition's 30 year history. (Mexico's Club America and Pumas UNAM were the only other CONCACAF winners.)
Think about that for a moment.

And haven't done shit internationally since then.
And what has you loser team done? I bet you are a Galaxy or Dead Bull fan.
Seriously some one needs to explain honestly without spin why USL clubs fare so much better in CONCACAF than MLS clubs. Fixture congestion if anything is WORSE in that piddly USL than in the 'major" league?
Is MLS just not good enough? Is USL under rated?
DC United should have played Real Madrid after that.
