TRADE: Jeff Cunningham to FC Dallas

Posted by MLSR Thursday, August 7, 2008

No word on what Toronto FC is getting in return but we have received multiple reports that this trade has gone down. We hope to have more on it later on as details emerge. Advice to Cunningham, "Don't Look Back"

Sidenote: Wouldn't it be funny if Toronto FC repatriated Adrian Serioux?

  2. Funny?? Serioux back in Canada would be pretty great for a team that struggles on that back line. If this goes down, good for Cunningham, maybe he can get his 100th goal in a new environment b/c he hasn't done well in Toronto. Just hope something other than a draft pick comes Toronto's way, right now they're basically drafting the entire class in 2009, but don't have enough players to field a full (and competent) team.

  4. MLS Rumors, please tell me that this is a reliable source...Cunny is just a big distraction for
TFC, and it would be a dream come true if he is finally gone. I still remeber last year on the final training day of the season when he proclaimed he would score 20 goals this year...what a cruel joke.

  6. "Don't look back?"

    What does that even mean?

  8. It's funny because Serioux reportedly flipped off the crowd last week at bmo.

  10. Yeah it would be funny to go to Canada for Serioux--especially after flipping off his "own." Chump deserves those fans.

  16. THERE IS A GOD! I'd be happy, even if TFC gets an empty chipbag for Cunnigham!

  20. Props on this call. Cunningham for a 3rd round pick in 2009.

I would have taken a bag of soccer balls and a half eaten chip buty for him

  22. Sounds like Ellinger is trying to rebuild his former RSL squad down in Dallas. First Jamie Watson, now Cunningham. Good luck FCD, you're going to need it with Ellinger pulling in the players!
