Red Bull Arena construction in full swing

Posted by MLS Rumors Wednesday, August 27, 2008

The first week of above ground construction of Red Bull Arena has commenced and the progress is very noticeable. If everything goes according to plan the Red Bulls should be playing at the new grounds by the 2009 MLS season.

  8. "natural grass? yes!
    seats? 18,500"

That's partially correct. Yes there will be natural grass, but when Red Bull bought out AEG's share of Red Bull Park, Red Bull redesigned the stadium and renamed it Red Bull Arena, the new design increased capacity to 25,189.

  29. I read somewhere the new stadium is going to be in Jersey, too. Why not in New York itself? Isn't one of the reasons Red Bulls don't get many fans is because of the team's location?

  31. well the location in Harrison is great .... you got easy access from the city through train as their is a station almost right in front of the stadium. plus you are less than a mile away from amazing restaurants and bars in the ironbound section of newark.
