What can we say other than we called it.

While it didn't go down as part of an epic 3-way trade involving Brian McBride, our sources were right in that El Pescado still ended up with a new northern pond.

Read more about that here.

We hope he likes the water temperature there.

Of course, things COULD get quite toasty there with the firey Gutemalan and Honduran Amado Guevara. The locker room will not be short of ego. Is anyone taking bets on who will be first to blow up?

Also could John Carver make his job more challenging by getting Mo Johnston to make a play for Lider Marmol and Blanco?

But that wasn't the only thing to go down in T.dot today.

Famed midfielder Laurent Robert who came to the league and the club with much fanfare has been waived. Dreams by true believer, red clad legions have met the reality: Robert in yet another Eurowashout. More a Lothar Matheus than Youri Djorkaef. He joins the list of recent Eurowashouts who underestimated MLS such as Denilson, Celistine Babyaro and Abel Xavier.

Meanwhile its been a busy day at BMO, we now know some of that pending transfer fee for Maurice Edu will go into something we all want: a grass pitch at BMO field apparently.

  8. It's a busy day at BMO, all right. Canada is hosting a WCQ there. Remember that? Anyway, how about a video stream on that? Pretty please.

  10. Waiving Robert is stupid. He did have a handful of bad games, and disappeared in for parts of others but overall his passing was quite good and he had the best vision on the team for spotting players. He wasn't here to score goals, he was here to set them up and when you have nobody available to know the ball on what was it exactly that everyone expected? His contract was never guaranteed and he was on a one year deal, TFC has a lot of cap space and they should've kept him until the end of the season and then renegotiate a smaller salary for next season where he could be a perfect sub for Johann Smith.

And contrary to what MLSR says, Mo simply states that he feels grass is necessary going forward. He probably felt that way from day one. Sad fact is that he and TFC have extremely little say on that matter since it's the city/provincial governments who will decide.
