Vendieron a Badilla

They Sold Badilla
The purple [purple as in the color of Saprissa] defender Gabriel Badilla, packs his suitcases to travel to the MLS. The Saprissa directors [I don't know what the contextual translation would be] were able to connect [not sure if this word is supposed to have a specific soccer/futbol meaning] with the New England Revolution, and Badilla will leave for the United States the 22nd of this month.
"It's a great opportunity, the team (New England) has already started making arrangements for my departure," commented Badilla.
For his part, Ronald "Bala" Gomez said yesterday that he will finish out his existing contract with Saprissa, for 6 months and will leave the team at the end of it. It is rumored that the player was wanting to leave right now, but the orders came from Mexico to see out the rest of his contract.
