Pre-game controversy as we learn from Sideline Views that the $1 Million Dollar prize is only for Mexican teams. MLS teams only receive $150,000 if they win. Surely that can't be right!?!? We trust Eddie Pope and the MLS Players Union though. C'mon MLS, pay your players what they deserve! You expect them to play for pride, honor and victory right? Well a few shekels never hurt either.

First up, we have MLS ExtraTime's SuperLiga special.
Next we jump into the wayback machine to jump back a year to when Frank Yallop still was El Jefé of the LA Galaxy and when VivaLaSuperLiga.com put itself on the map at this Galaxy press conference. Sidenote: listening to the photographers shouting at Beckham, is it any wonder why celebrities hate them? Pretty annoying eh?
Next up we have the words of one of our favorite fútbol pundits. Shogun Ill Emperor or "Da Shogun" for short. He doesn't mince words, he keeps it real. Except for when he wears his very scary mask.
Do you agree with him?
And finally, what would an international tourney be without an anthem or song? Not quite the same. MLS and the Mexican Federation have yet to come up with any stately anthem á la the MLS Anthem or Champions League anthem. But that doesn't mean we still cant have one right? Well we have been sent what should be the official SuperLiga Mashup Music Video Anthem provided by rockers, Nephew. We have no idea what most of what they are singing means but we hear some familiar names, (Johnny Cash, Michael Stipe Wesley Snipes) and its got a bangin' "SuperLiga" chorus which is good enough for us. There, an un-official SuperLiga anthem! By the way, nice job on the video Jade.
