Thanks to the person who submitted this story:
It seems the Columbus Crew wanted to bring back former New England Revolution forward Pat Noonan from Norway's Aalesund, so they made a deal where they would pay a transfer fee of $225,000, and worked out a deal with the Revolution, who held the soon to be 28-year-old's MLS rights after Noonan signed with the Norweigan Premier League side on a free transfer at the end of last year.
Noonan apparently doesn't fit in Aalesund's first team plans, as he's only made three appearances for the team (who also has former Revolution goalie Adin Brown) since signing.
However, it doesn't look like the transfer is going through, reports out of Columbus say the deal has been kiboshed by MLS, as they feel the transfer fee is too exorbitant.
MLS holds the rights to do this, due to the league's single-entity status, so despite the Crew having agreed to a fee, and working out a deal with the Revolution, it looks like Noonan will be stuck in Norway for the forseeable future.

Thats absolute crap this is why people hate the MLS and soccer in America. How can a league say NO its to rich of a deal keep your damn noses where they belong all parties where happy with the deal. This is why i have given up on watching or supporting the MLS
If this were any other team but columbus the deal would have gone down. I'm sure MLSR got a real kick out of posting this story...
