And rather than rewrite basically the same thing, read all about it here.

...And more here.

  2. I have to admit that every time I have been to this site lately there is a post on the blog that takes up a quarter of the page talking about how poor things have been in Columbus regarding racism.

Then, there is so little credit given to the fans who try. There's a huge post about how 3 weeks later they don't get it, and like what, 3 sentences about this? Not exactly fair and balanced.

I'm not trying to flame, but the positive should be gloated about on this topic, as that is how the whole Civil Rights movement changed things. Not pointing out how bad racism is, but dreaming of a day when we're rid of it.

  4. Amazing what happens when someone takes a positive approach to the situation. Section 8 came to us with this great idea and it shows the true sides of the two fan groups. They have felt what is like to be bombarded with false claims of racism, so they helped us out.

Thanks for posting this MLSR, but I'm not all surprised that you have decided not to write anything positive of your own for the story...

  6. Thanks for at least posting this, even if it isn't as interesting for MLSRumors.

  8. Rather than bemoan the events that have transpired--while not just simply "sweeping them under the rug", let's just look at this simple story of one group reaching out to another and saying "we know it wasn't all of you", and we have an idea how to take a stand against the few. The idea that Section 8 Chicago had is simple, and it unifies those who oppose racism in their stands, in the Columbus stands, and hopefully, the league will follow suit. I, for one, do not mind if they (MLSR) do not have a full page story on this, but I must admit, it would be nice if they got and printed a little more of the story--but the main fact remains that the culprits that threw racist epiteths at Dube and Joseph still are unnamed and unscathed in all of this. They NEED to be identified and dealt with.

  10. I find it extremely humorous that these fans who "get it", are the same exact people you are accusing of "Not getting it". No, not that they're crew fans who don't get it, they are literally the exact same people. Your poop MLS-Rumors, poop!
