SPONSORS: Giant DC United/Volkswagen Jersey To Be Revealed Tuesday and on National TV Next Thursday?

We just received the following by anonymous email:

Hello,
I am a member of the Barra Brava (one of DC United's vociferous supporter's groups) and I can tell you that the jersey will be revealed on Thursday, May 8 on ESPN during the nationally televised broadcast of the Chicago Fire playing United at RFK.

Which would seem at first to contradict this earlier email we received:

Good afternoon,
I work with someone "in the know" who told me the official unveiling of the DC United jersey with the Volkswagen sponsor logo on it will take place on Tuesday, a conference is being set up which will have Kevin Payne, and perhaps Will Chang other owners along with representatives from Volkswagen. Several players will model the home and away jerseys with the new Volkswagen sponsor and you will see them wear it during Thursday's game against Chicago.

It looks like there will be an official press conference earlier in the week, and then the jerseys with the Volkswagen sponsorwill be worn during the game on Thursday with a giant one similar to the one shown in this Houston Dynamo video, below, in DC United's supporters section. Volkswagen's "United" series of automobiles (left) were unveiled last fall and their US Headquarters is moving to the DC area.



Volkswagen "United" advertisements, perhaps could we see a US one with the Black 'n Red of DC United in the future?
