New Mockups we made

Older Mockups We made:

Steve Goff at the Washington Post is reporting that the long rumored deal is for $14 million over five years, a little less than what we and others reported last week. Read more here.
Update: And here are the press conference details for tomorrow, Tuesday which our anonymous source tipped us off to last week:D.C. United will hold a press conference Tuesday, May 5 at 9:30 a.m. to announce the club's new presenting partner. D.C. United Co-managing Partner Victor MacFarlane, President and CEO Kevin Payne, Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber, and executives from United's new partner will address members of the media in the VIP Room on the fourth floor of RFK Stadium.
Also confirmed is that the new shirts will be worn during Thursday night's ESPN televised match between DC United and Chicago Fire.
Goff reports:
"When United wears white shirts, the VW logo will be black. When DCU is wearing black, the logo will be white. The three stripes, which were present on the jersey for years and removed this spring in anticipation of a sponsorship deal, will not return."
Which sounds EXACTLY like what our source told us April 26:
4/26/08 8:22 PM Update:
We have another email from our anonymous source:
"btw, This is the real deal, on your scale of likely to happen (0 -5) this is a 12.
Furthermore it will only be the round VW found in the Wolfsburg jersey, roughly about 6" - 8".
Black and Silver (could be white, I couldn't tell as I wasn't wearing my glasses) for the away white jersey, and Silver or white on black for the home jersey.
No wording, only the round logo...you can take that to the bank...it's a done deal.
MLSR would like to thank our anonymous sources who kept us on top of this story.

HOLY SHIT That looks SWEET!
goff said the white jersey will have the Volkswagen logo in BLACK, not red.
As did our source on the 26th (Read above):
Black and Silver (could be white, I couldn't tell as I wasn't wearing my glasses) for the away white jersey, and Silver or white on black for the home jersey."
We only made the white mockup on red to show the "fusion" of the Black and Red of United with Volkswagen...sorry if that confused you.
man the red on the white jersey looks niiice but too bad its a fake...congrats on your rumor coming true...this makes what 3 of 180 or something like that?
I'd rather see the red logo, too.
...or the stripes back...
I like the red on white. Too bad that isn't the real deal.
Thanks for keeping the rumor count Cheesedick. I don't want Rumor Mill getting a big head!
