REPORT: Former US President Bush, Confirmed Dynamo Supporter

Someone sent us the photos above and near as we can tell they have not been Photoshopped (except for the funny bit of text we added). We were told that Bush was a Dynamo fan but until now there was no photographic evidence and as always, we like to have that. Well someone heeded the call and got some!

The photos were taken at Saturday's match between Houston Dynamo and CD Chivas USA at Robertson Stadium.

Kudos. Now, if Bush can just instill some of the Bush family attacking philosophy (attack early, with overwhelming force) in the squad perhaps Dynamo will climb up the table?

Naturally, we've now added him to our updated MLS Celebrity Fan Gallery.

One thing that makes us suspicious of his Dynamo fandom and love for la Naranja is his attire. If he is such a big Dynamo fan, why is he wearing DC United colors? "Get your orange on homie!"

Ah that's better.
(that one was taken at a game last spring).

And of course there is his son..(count the faces that no longer wear orange)

Let the man support who he wants to support. The expectation that MLS support should be a liberal monolith is part of what holds the game back. I'd rather hang with the old man AND the son than with the idiot in Houston who waves the Che Guevara flag.

Too bad Bush Sr couldn't have pushed for his son to succeed Doug Logan. Would've been a great patriotic servce... though it might've killed our beloved league.
