Time for some Canadian Content eh?

SHOLA AMEOBI was today the subject of an ambitious move from MLS side Toronto FC, who would love to sign the former England Under-21 striker.
The BMO Field outfit would join Norwich City and Middlesbrough as teams tracking Ameobi, after the player indicated he did not want to go to Stoke.
Former Newcastle coach John Carver is in charge at Toronto, and is keen to bring Ameobi to join him and another ex-United star, Laurent Robert.

Seriously, this is an interesting rumor. I assume this would be for a DP slot and Cunningham or Dichio would need to be shipped out to make room for another senior international. Hopefully it would be Cunny as his attitude and work rate do not match the man's talent.
I heard that Dave from Newcastle is despondent. He thought Fenerbache was the nightmare situation, but now this?! I'd file this in the "not bloody likely" drawer.
That's a good assumption. As for teams who could use a Cunningham and or a Dichio, John Carver may want to talk to DC United while their in town because it is clear they will be offloading at least one if not two forwards soon (Niell and Emilio). Perfect trade would be Cunningham and Dichio to DC for allocation money, Emilio and Niell released from contract, solves both teams problems. Toronto gets to buy down the salaries of their higher priced players with extra allocation cash and DC gets two proven strikers in MLS.
Cunny is who would be released for our DP, its been a long time in the coming and seems pretty obvious with his lack of playing time nad rough relationship with Carver. Dichio isnt going anywhere as he is a legend albeit a slow and old one and we need at least 2 strikers even if we are only starting one. He will be still effective (if not more effective) coming off the bench. After all, we only really need to move one international and about 200k to sign a DP
As for Emilio being released? i highly doubt it, he was just given DCs second DP slot (as to why i do not know).
Like Bangers said tho, i really doubt this will be happening...
he turned down a &4M pound offer from stoke city...how much can we possibly offer him? does he really like John Carver THAT much??
