TRIAL: George Welcome on Trial with Revs, Castro's Comments (UPDATE)


After the New England 0-3 loss to Chicago Fire, young Mauricio "El Pipo" Castro discussed the possibility of fellow Honduran George Welcome coming to MLS in the near future. The following is an English translation of the El Heraldo article:

"El Pipo" awaits the arrival of George Welcome, who will begin a long trial this week in the quest of an opportunity to play in MLS. "It will make me very happy if he comes on trial with the [Revs], but to advance further he has to work very hard to secure a position, because here they are very exacting," the ex-Olimpia forward recommended, who assures that the club directors have a lot of confidence that George Welcome will be their goalscoring answer in the next season, "they saw the goal he scored in the Olympic qualifier and he appears to them to have the qualifications to be at the club."
