Steve Goff of the Washington Post on Washington Post Live, just broke the news that the US will take on Cuba at Washington DC's RFK Stadium in a World Cup qualifier scheduled for October 11.
He also had strong words for the league on the scheduling of games of clubs in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. So he has added to comments made previously by Houston's Dominic Kinnear and DC United's Tom Soehn. He chided them for making space in the schedule for teams involved in the SuperLiga but not doing it for what is considered a much more important competition, the Champions Cup.
Among some other subjects he touched on:
US National Team coach Bob Bradley attending DC United vs Real Salt Lake tomorrow to get a look at players.
Michael Bradley to Everton rumors
DC United's challenges vs Real Salt Lake
Ben Olsen's condition
25,000 tickets sold for United's match
ALSO
On his blog Goff also touches on the story and work of an agent for African players, Patrick McCabe who he met this morning at United's training. Apparently, McCabe is scouting for players for Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, Chicago Fire and possibly DC United.
