If you caught the LA Galaxy at Colorado game last Saturday, you no doubt saw Carlos Ruiz brought down. Only this time it was for real and the word is that Guatemalan national team and Galaxy star forward Carlos "El Pescadito" Ruiz is out for at least four weeks.
MLSNet has issued a press release on the fines and suspensions handed down after the "handbags". Colorado's Ciaran O'Brien has been suspended for two games and fined $500
What a game though:
Four Unanswered Goals
And of course the fine officiating of MLS fan favorite: Abbey Okulaja which of course led to:
Carlos Ruiz doing his best acting....which led to..
Tasty challenges, one of which led to....
"A bit of afters" which lea to....
A full scale riot on the pitch which led to...
Abel Xavier sent off and fined $1,600 for verbal abuse hurled at Okulaja
Pablo Mastroeni of all people in the role of "peacemaker" trying to calm his national teammate, Landon Donovan down....
Ciaran O'Brien sent off and fined for kicking the whole thing off
Now that's entertainment.
