HONOLULU, Hawaii (AP) -- It started with a generous gesture by David Beckham, who handed over his game-used soccer jersey to two young boys after a game at Aloha Stadium. Kids tussle over soccer star David Beckham's jersey after he passed it into the stands on February 20. Now a squabble over the sweaty souvenir has devolved into a nasty fight with threats of legal action that has left the general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team in "utter disbelief." The youngsters from Honolulu used to be close friends and teammates on a soccer team. Then a shirtless Beckham approached the boys February 20, after the Galaxy's exhibition loss to Japan's Gamba Osaka in the Pan-Pacific Championship, and reached over a sign with his right hand and gave away his white jersey.
And what article about the Galaxy or Beckham would be complete without the King Solomon-like wisdom of one Alexi Lalas?
Alexi Lalas, the Galaxy's general manager, told the Advertiser that Beckham and the team never intended for the situation to happen.
"My suggestion is that the judge get a pair of scissors, cut the thing in half and give half to each," he said.

If he was king solomon-like, he'd tell the judge to threaten to cut the jersey in half, and then give it to the one who says that it shouldn't be cut in half but should be given entirely to the other kid.
The best option would be to just give each of them a new Beckham jersey and be done with it.
who gives a crap about this really...two kids fighting over a jersey...not knocking you all for posting this but come on can we stop the david beckham such fest here?

Believe me when I say it, no one is tired of Beckham hype more than us.
However we treat Beckham as any other MLS player. If two kids got in a fight and were ready to go to court over a Justin Mapp (hahaha) jersey then we'd post the same story.
God I hope no one ever fights over a Justin Mapp jersey. I know you'd post it, and quite honestly I would too because it would be too dumb to not talk about. haha
BTW, like the new three column design...it actually loads a hell of a lot quicker for me than the previous look did.
