Posted by MLS Rumors Monday, April 21, 2008

Spanish-language outlets are reporting Boca Juniors' pre-season plans for the summer, which include stops in Venezuela, the United States and Europe. The preliminary schedule, which is not finalized, will see the Xeneizes play friendlies in Mérida, Venezuela in June and in Washington D.C. between July 12 and 26 against MLS and Mexican clubs. A few weeks later they will travel to Moscow and face Chelsea, AC Milan and Bayern Munich. On 26 August, they will visit the Camp Nou to battle Barca for the Joan Gamper trophy.

Stay tuned for updates on schedules, opponents, and locations for their USA tour.

  2. It's a Lock that Columbus is one of the stops. No way they can Skip over the team that Guile plays for.

  4. Boca is team that the MLS all-stars should be playing. No offense to West Ham.
More Argies are coming to the league and if they see their beloved Boca Juniors get beat, the question of quality will never be asked.

  10. I think playing any team during their off season isn't a good barometer for the level of play in the MLS. Even if it is Boca. Remember, RSL played Boca to a 1-1 draw last summer.
