REPORT: Becks Madrid Exit Cost Club $46M in Losses

Posted by MLSR Thursday, April 3, 2008

According to this article in the Telegraph, Real Madrid is seeking $46 Million dollars in emergency operating funds. They have linked the need for this cash to Beckham's departure for the LA Galaxy.

Now we know why they REALLY want him back.

Part of Real's difficulties are thought to have been because of their early exit from the Champions League for the past two seasons, but Beckham's move to LA Galaxy has also stung the club.

The departure of the world's most marketable player is thought to have cost the club in the region of up to £30m following a study carried out by the University of Catalonia.
