
In a move which could have huge ramifications on the tournament and Houston's fixture with them in two weeks in particular. Due to papers filed on Friday with CONCACAF, Deportivo Saprissa may be sanctioned by CONCACAF once again for the behavior of its fans and staff during Thursday's Atlante FC at Deportivo Saprissa match.
If you watched the last quarterfinal series of this years CONCACAF Champions Cup, you may have seen a player with blood coming from his head. It was not due to on the pitch activity but rather the notoriously hostile crowd that awaits international opponents of Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa.
According to this report, Mexico's Atlante FC is requesting a stadium ban from CONCACAF, similar to the one instiuted after serious incidents at the Toluca vs Deportivo Saprissa match in the 2006 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

The security guards at the stadium get into a scuffle with Atlante's goalkeeper and other team members:
People in the stands throw hard objects such as batteries, and rocks, on to the pitch. (see minute 1:14)
A player gets hit with one and his head begins oozing blood, (see the end of the above video where they bandaged his head.
