Various reports out of Italy suggest several Americans are interested in purchasing AS Roma from the Sensi family. But is San Jose Earthquakes owner John Fisher one of them?

Goal.com, ALICE Sport, CalcioBlog, and others have reported that Los Angeles Avengers and Wesserman Media Group owner Casey Wesserman is leading a group of interested American businessmen in a takeover effort. Reports state the group offered 250 million euro to the Sensi family. However, the Sensi family denied rumors of a bid and Bloomberg.com reported the offer will not come until the close of the Serie A season.

Sport.es reported that San Jose Earthquakes and Oakland Athletics owner John Fisher was also interested in Roma and is ready to offer the widely-rumored price of 250 million euro. They state his minority-stake in Celtic may have driven his interest in further European pursuits.

Meanwhile, Corriere Economica reported that Tom Hicks, one of Liverpool's American owners, has expressed interest in the club on numerous occasions.
