With reports at the end of last week indicating that the English FA is considering playing some fixtures abroad, we have been curious as to what the MLS response would be to the proposal. It seems we now have one.
MLS Deputy Commissioner Ivan Gazidis welcomes the plan in theory, but cautions that MLS and Soccer United Marketing run soccer promotions in the USA and as such would like to be involved:
"We are the largest promoter of international soccer in North America and clearly we would like to be involved."

Sunil Gulati has gone on the record with the BBC saying he isn't wild about the idea. Gazids may want to check with the USSF before shooting off his mouth.
