While, doing our investigation into celebrities and their MLS teams we came across the following bit of interest:
Mike Zaher, 22 year old, former UCLA Defender, currently with Toronto FC was in a pop music video by Freddy Adu's former WAG (girlfriend), pop star Jojo. He features in a song and video based upon the breakup of the relationship between the young songstress and young footballer.
In fact Zaher plays the part of Adu though it is not obvious as the two look nothing alike.
Let us hope that Zaher's footballing skills are better than his acting skills.
We have included the video mentioned above, below for curiosity's sake.
In it you will find rather lame reinactments of Adu being benched by former DC United boss Pitr Nowak as well as Adu's missed penalty kick vs Argentina at the 2005 World Youth Championship.

Ouch... I'll add that to my reasons not to date a pop star.
1. They're crazy
2. When you break up, they'll write a song about you and produce a video and air all your issues to the world
3. They're crazy
Heh, I like it though. Gives me the impression they didn't work out because he was too focused on his career. That's good for the USMNT! Go Freddy!
you know, I will have to revise my statement above... as a NER fan, I forgive her for it all...
I like this site btw. Its entertaining and serves a purpose. Who cares if its inaccurate? That's not the point.
Jojo's pretty hot when she's wet... wait is she legal now?
Thank you. That's our aim. We saw a need and a gap to fill. We deal in rumors and gossip. This is the oil that keeps the wheels of every serious football(soccer) league going.
We looked at the MLS blog landscape and found a lot of great things, excellent 100% accurate news sites, great sites devoted to player statistics, bloggers who were very dedicated to their club of choice or circumstance, newspaper journalists running blogs with tidbits now and then.
But what we saw MLS lacking were the things that exist in nearly every other league, rumors of player movement, disatisfaction, relationship issues, personal triumphs and tragedies.
These things are what keep us interested between the games and these things are what connect people who might otherwise not be interested, to the game.
We once heard a very prominent soccer radio show host state emphatically that there was NOTHING to talk about regarding MLS in the close season. We set out to help change that.
MLS does keep a tight lid on things and they would be better advised to let some of these guys open up more. But things do leak out.
We have big plans for the season and we hope to become something special in the world of MLS blogs.
If you see a player out partying the night before a game? We want to know about it.
If you see a player drunk we want to know about it.
If you dated a player, we want to know.
We deal in gossip. We deal in rumor.
The pressure on players in other countries is far greater because people there are paying more attention to what they do off the pitch as well as on it.
We hope to bring a bit of positive pressure on the league to open up, on the players to perform to the best of their abilities and on fans to ask deeper questions than the stuff that fill dry news and stats blogs.
We will be criticized, already have been, but we feel our purpose is sound and very necessary as the United States grows up as a new footballing nation and as MLS jostles for position among the leagues of the world.
What is funnier than the fact that they look nothing alike - Zaher now plays for DC United, where Adu made his name. Easy to see why they used Zaher. He looks better in a United shirt too =]
