Over the last year post-Beckham MLS has struggled with providing the LA Galaxy with the type of accommodations and means of travel any such "SuperClub ®" would expect. These included things like private hotel rooms, under aliases, to the most controversial one private charter flights to games.
When MLS ruled on this last year Red Bull New York went ballistic because they were told they would NOT be allowed to use their own money to pay for charter flights for their players.MLS cited unfair competitive advantage". Additionally the Columbus Crew had also been denied use of charter flights in years past.
This ruling caused quite a stir and much debate amongst fans on the Internet.
Well it appears now, according to this report from Big Apple Soccer that MLS has quietly reversed that decision.
