Could 32 year old Stefano Fiore, an attacking midfielder/winger whose past includes stints at Lazio, Parma, Udinese, Fiorentina, Torino and Livorno, be taking the pitch at BMO field this summer? If reports on Italian radio are to be believed then he very well may be.
As the rumor, given to us by one of our Italian readers, goes: Mo Johnston may be making a move for the former Italian National team midfielder who made 38 appearances for the Azzurri. He currently is playing for Italian Serie-B side Mantova. Radio reports that he has said he is going to play football in Canada.
With reports that Mo Johnston has looked around the world for players to boost an anemic TFC squad we find this rumor plausible as Fiore has moved around quite a lot in the last 4 years. While still somewhat unsure whether Mo has infact made a player for Fiore will keep an eye on this story and await further information about this move over the next week. Fiore is best known for his pinpoint passing and would make an excellent attacking midfielder, quite possibly making TFC a cup contender if signed.
