We have, thanks to one of our sources which we trust, discovered that legendary Ecuadorian forward Agustin "El Tin" Delgado may be headed to the Colorado Rapids after he did not appear at a practice for his club LDU Quito (Liga Deportiva Universitaria Quito). It was stated that the reasons for his absence in practices at Liga Deportiva Universitaria were understandable since he is on vacation and this Friday, there is a formal bid on the part of MLS and the Colorado Rapids.
The contract terms reportedly are for him to make $2 Million for 2 years which he reportedly accepted while on vacation in the Galapagos Islands.
Delgado, age 33, is the highest scoring international in Ecuador history. Having scored 31 goals in 70 appearances for Ecuador.
Here is video of him in action:

And to think that Clavijo couldn't make a player move that smacked of desperation and incompitance more than when he signed Daniel Osorno. If this is true, the Rapids just through away what little hope they have for 2008. El Tin will do nothing more than the bare minimum that he needs to collect his pay. He's old, injured, long ago past his best and never was one to be very devoted to his club.
